| The competition at Chan Poker is soft, especially in the low-middle level stakes games. Although a bit tougher in high stakes games, it's still softer than high stakes at most other poker rooms. The Ongame Network is continually signing up players who are new to the game, as they advertise all over the world where poker is booming much like it did in the U.S. a few years back. Experienced players should overbet big hands, hoping for calls. Play good starting hands, and bluff less often than you might at tighter online poker rooms. Tournaments are soft as well. Regular sit-n-go tournaments are played much like turbo's at other rooms. So, wait for a real hand and don't donk off your chips early. At this room players have a good chance of getting chips at some point if they're patient. |
| Chan Poker ring games are quite soft. With player / flop percentages typically in the 35 - 50% range in micro - low stakes NL ring games, and 25 - 40% in $1/2 NL and higher. This is a real juicy room full of inexperienced players. Bluff less often, and overbet your big hands expecting to get called more frequently. |

1/ $150,000 Sunday Guaranteed - Direct buy-in for $320, or satellites can be played for just a few dollars. 2/ Grand Tournament - A big tournament with a buy-in of $1,000 + $40. With a guaranteed prize pool of $500,000, it's becoming one of the largest tournaments online. Played over 3 days, scheduled once per month. Satellites range from $1.10 - $162. 3/ We also spoke to the poker room manager about the lack of promotions at Chan Poker. As mentioned above, he's a guy we believe in, and he's told us that a bunch of new promotions will begin any day now. Players need to use a Chan Poker Promo Code when they sign up. |
Satellite
Poker Tournaments |
| Chan Poker satellite tournaments for major, live events will be starting shortly - sometime in early '08 we've been told. Chan currently runs satellites for their larger, guaranteed tournaments. |

Guaranteed

As we stated above, Chan Poker runs a $500,000 guaranteed tournament once per month. See 'Promotions' for more details. Chan Poker also runs a large number of guaranteed tournaments in the $500 - $25,000 range daily. Typically, buy-ins range from $1.10 to $33. The $25,000 guaranteed tournament has a direct buy-in of $33 - pretty good. Some of the guaranteed tournaments are deep-stacks, and some are turbos. They also have a decent number of Omaha and 7 Card Stud tournaments with guarantee's in the $500 - $1,500 range. Most of the Chan Poker guaranteed tournaments are freezeouts, with a few rebuy tournaments scattered here and there. |

Click here to view the Chan Poker lobby. The lobby is very easy to use, nothing complicated whatsoever. A simple tabbed system makes navigation a breeze. Customer support can be accessed from the lobby, and players can create custom statistics files from here as well. From the lobby, players can change their table options which include removing avatars, changing chat functions, sound options, and plenty more. Very customizeable. The Chan Poker Table is nice as well. Very similar to the other Ongame Network tables, everything is simple to use. A somewhat 3D design, the graphics are nice. Buttons are very large, sound effects are purposeful, not annoying. Players have the ability to take notes while playing, and can use the 'mini view' option for multi-tabling. Players can play up to four tables at a time. |
|
The Chan Poker software comes from the Ongame Network, which also runs popular sites like PokerRoom.com, Hollywood Poker.com and MansionPoker.com. This is very good, reliable software that works well. The software has handled 30,000 + players without a hitch. |

This is another area in which is in the process of being put together. Currently, players can use Chan Poker bonus points in the Chan Poker store. We've been told they will be adding points tournaments, and a lot more gear in the store very shortly. Although the store only has a few items in it right now, the items they do have are very cool. They have a sick Chan Poker logo hoodie that can be had for 4,000 Chan Poker bonus points. |
| Chan Poker offers 24/7 email support through the website. Our test email had an 8 minute reply time - super fast. The questions we asked were answered perfectly. We will continue to test. |

| The Chan Poker variety is decent. They're on the Ongame Network, so sit and go's, heads-up, and guaranteed tournaments are available in a nice variety. However, as a newer room, they haven't got their freerolls and satellites for live events going yet. The poker room manager at Chan Poker has told us they will begin in early '08. He has a reputation worth believing in. |
Customer
Service |
| Traffic at Chan Poker is about average for the industry. Traffic during peak hours show 25-28,000 real money players. |
