Titan Poker Review

Play at Titan Poker for the tournaments, not so much the ring games unless you're trying to improve your game. If you're a tournament guru, Titan Poker is the place for you, with tournament players in the 'average' skill level range. In regards to variety and # of tournament players, Titan Poker is a monster. They offer far more than most any other sites and we highly recommend Titan for tournament players. Some opponents will be terrible, some average, and some very skilled.

Ring games at Titan Poker are a different story. At the $.10/.20 NL Hold'em games, player/flop percentages run in the 20-40% range. At $.25/.50 and up into hi-stakes action, player/flop percentages are typically in the 15-30% range - pretty tight.

1/ European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP) - A $2.5 million dollar poker series, starting November 30th. Satellites for the 10 event series start as low as $1.10 and are running now! The main event will be held on Sunday, Dec. 9. Direct buy-ins for these events range from $109 - $1,060, with guaranteed prize pools from $100,000 - $1,000,000! Winners will also receive ECOOP bracelets to rub in the faces of their friends.

Beyond the ECOOP, Titan Poker promotions come in the dozens. They have so many promotions constantly changing that there is no way we could keep them updated here. They have a promo to win a Porsche, Aussie Millions '08 seats, EPT seats, UK Poker Tour seats, Irish Open '08 seats, a Bad Beat Jackpot and on and on and on. You name it, they got it.

Titan Poker runs a ton of freeroll events, especially for new players. New players at Titan Poker can play in four $50-$100 freerolls per week, for 90 days after signing up! These freerolls max at 1000 players and pay the top 50. On top of this, they have freerolls for a constantly changing variety of tournaments.

If we haven't explained this clearly enough in previous sections, the Titan Poker tournament schedule is about as good as any out there. These guys give tournament players a lot of reasons to play. They run guaranteed tournaments in the $1,000 - $35,000 range daily. Buy-ins range from $1.10 - $33 typically. They also have a $30,000 daily guaranteed tournament for just $11. On Fridays they have a $75,000 guaranteed for $50+$5 with rebuys & 1 add-on. Saturday they hold a $40,000 tournament for $109, no R/A. They have the big weekly tournament on Sundays. It's the $200,000 guaranteed and has a buyin of $215 with no rebuys/add-ons. Add a mind-numbing amount of other guaranteed tournaments of every kind, every day, and now you have the idea.

The Titan Poker lobby is designed in a fairly simple to use layout. The light blue graphics are easy on the eyes, and everything is easy to find. The lobby uses a simple drop-down menu, then further lobby filters are available to make it even easier to find your game of choice. The Titan Poker table is nicely designed as well, with plenty of options to customize it to your liking. Players can choose their own avatar, tile tables for multi-table play, turn on/off whatever sounds they choose. Thank god for that, because the default sound effects make us bloody crazy. Customized to your liking, the playing experience is really quite good. If you like a more serious look, the avatars can be removed entirely. The hand history function works well, and the clubs/spades are clearly different in their design!! This is good news for multi-tablers.

Titan Poker is on the iPoker Network, using PlayTech software. Overall it works well, and has been well tested. There are a couple of quirks we'd like to see improved, but nothing major. The software allows for play at up to 8 tables simultaneously. Software is fast, table action speed is mediocre.
